Sister Night n.: A night held sacred by those who enjoy being with their sisters, whether they be blood-sisters, step-sisters, sisters-in-law, or people who we deem in need of sisterly time. On this night there is usually a noticeable absence of husbands, children (over the age of one), and pets. Yes, pets.
This particular celebration of being born of the same womb or legally added to the family by marriage or generally just super-awesome to hang with. is accompanied by good food, lots of laughing, and the odd adult beverage or two.
Now that we have the definition, let's view this overly creepy drawing of sisters.
Seriously, it's creeptastic.
Thanks Wikimedia. Thanks.

The Travelling Sisterpants Begins
So here's how it began...
Sara: We need to get together and hang out...you know...like sisters.
Rachel: We are sisters.
Sara: Yeah, I know. We should hang out...like a sister night.
Rachel: We hang out all the time.
Sara: No, without kids and husbands and with the rest of our sisters.
Rachel: But we do that all of the time.
Sara: Yeah, I know. But this way it sounds like we're doing it on purpose. We can have a theme night...make it all official.
Rachel: I like it. Make it happen.
And then, over too much fondue and after a very confusing conversation about a terrible teen flick, Travelling Sisterpants came into being. There's really no point in any of this, other than a whole lot of sister time...in a totally cool and non-cheesy way. HA!
